GFE

Graphic Front End program, or GFE, is what you are using right now. GFEs are common with online games. The GFE is, as the name implies, the "front end" for a program running on a central computer and connecting many users over phone lines. The GFE runs many graphic routines locally (on your computer) thus cutting down on the amount of information that has to be sent over the phone line. The GFE also contains integrated HELP files that contain extensive information on how to use the GFE. You're looking at one of those HELP files right now. Some GFEs, like this one, have several HELP files built in.
