These areas are set up like standard games of Hundred Years War. However, there is not an actual game going on. You can have all the money you want to do whatever you want. To obtain funds at will, all you need to do is visit the ingame "ATM" machine located on the Financial Affairs Menu.

Bedlams are also used for testing new features for all games, so things many not always work as you would expect them to. The tests will sometimes involve "rolling back" the game. This means that all player and fief values are reset to the way they were at the start of a game.
